IA/UX Specialist
Description
Successful candidates will work on a daily basis with business owners, business analysts and back-end developers and will be responsible for taking new concepts and designs and creating interaction diagrams, mock-ups and other design and usability artifacts to drive the definition of the user experience of SecondMarket’s online trading platform.
IA/UX Specialists will combine the disciplines of psychology and software product design to ensure delivery of products that give users the best possible experience. A strong knowledge in the cognitive process is mandatory in order to simplify our products UI increasing its efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills
The perfect candidate will also have the following skills or experience:
- Understanding of financial software applications and the financial industry in general
- Expert skills with web development tools and IDEs
- Strong knowledge of interactive web interface techniques such as web remoting
- Working knowledge of web interface frameworks such as GWT, Tapestry and Struts
- Working experience or exposure to JIRA/Confluence
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience with user-centered design techniques and processes
- Ability to analyze requirements and rapidly visualize alternative design options
- Expert skills with standard design tools including Photoshop or equivalent
- Solid research, technical and visual design skills
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage work to project timelines
- Willing to work long hours if necessary
- Team player with positive attitude
